For decades, Solovair was the producer of Dr. Marten’s famous shoes. When that relationship ended they continued to make them under the Solovair brand, while DM production moved to China. Known for sometime as Solovair by Dr. Marten’s, the brand still produces all of its shoes in its Northamptonshire, England factory using Goodyear-welted construction. The county of Northamptonshire, England has a long history of shoe making dating back to the 13th century. Solovair were contracted to produce doc martens. Got both pairs for around 60€ each via eBay. Other recommendations would be the newer Boots and Braces Easy Sole. Both Solovair and MIE Doc Martens are made in the same town.
